How often we forget that we have the power within to change! The simplest of exercises can assist you in rediscovering how to manage your own energy.
Practice the following:
1-2 times each day sit down in a quiet place, set a timer, and consciously slow your breath. Bring the inhales and exhales to an even length and sound. If you feel anxious, then lengthen out the exhale to twice as long as the inhale. When you feel calmer, bring the inhale and exhale to the same length.
Next direct your breathing into your stomach.
Move next to the heart including the center and both sides of your chest.
Then to the head. Imagine the walls breaking down with each inhale. Then release the charge (feelings) that built the walls with each exhale.
Let the charge go down your grounding cord to be dispersed. Especially feelings of anger, resentment, disrespect, and hatred. Release the feelings, all of them. This is releasing resistance and will bring you relief. Let this release create spaciousness within you and your energy.
Then have your breath, your life force, fill the space where you released the resistance.
Begin with 2 minutes and gradually work up to 5 minutes over a few days. If you want to go longer then let yourself go.
Have your eyes closed, spine tall, feet on the floor in a chair or sitting on the floor with support as needed. 3 times each day pause for 30seconds to 1 minute. During this pause consciously release resistance. Count your breaths and release with each exhale. Set a timer or figure out about how many breaths you have in one minute.
Smile at the end of each pause. Let go of trying to control what others think of you. You have no control over it and it is none of your business. Be the best you can in each moment, and it is enough. Work with this exercise for 3 weeks and see the change!
